Giving Garden Info Meeting

  • Pathways Church 311 West Evergreen Drive Appleton, WI, 54913 United States (map)

You are invited to this short informational meeting on Sunday, April 13 in Room 206 after each service as we get ready to open up The Giving Garden for a new growing season!

What is The Giving Garden?

The Giving Garden is right here on our Pathway campus - behind our office building. It has produced between 1,000 and 2,000 pounds of produce each year, donated to the Freedom Food Pantry for redistribution into our community!

Fresh produce is highly valued by the food pantry, so it is a blessing for us to be able to provide that resource to them.

We grow delicious vegetables such as: asparagus, rhubarb, lettuce, peas, garlic, tomatoes, peppers, onions, carrots, potatoes, squash, mushrooms, beets, zucchini, parsley, basil and possibly more.

What is Needed for the Giving Garden

We need a team of volunteers who can spend time in the garden (1 to 2 times per week) planting, watering, weeding, harvesting and delivering the produce to Freedom Food Pantry. Typically the volunteers gather on Wednesday mornings, as that is the day the food pantry is open.

“God is working in so many different areas at the Food Pantry.  It’s in relationships that lives are changed.  Food is necessary in all of our lives, but the relationships formed are so important in God’s kingdom.” - The Freedom Food Pantry
