Creative Arts Pastor
Job Description:

Pathways Church is currently looking for a full-time Creative Arts Pastor who leads with passion, humility, and thoughtfulness, and gets fired up at the idea of developing a vibrant worship culture within a congregation.

Purpose:
Lead and develop the Creative Arts ministry to form people in worship, help communicate the gospel with clarity and creativity, and create environments and experiences that lead people into a growing relationship with Jesus.
Primary Responsibilities
Spiritual Leadership:
• Shepherd and disciple Creative Arts volunteers and staff as followers of Jesus and disciple-makers.
• Ensure all lyrical, visual, and creative elements are theologically grounded and aligned with Scripture.
• Provide pastoral care- mostly within the department- including weddings, funerals, and other shepherding needs.
Experience and Gathering Leadership:
• Serve as primary worship leader for weekend gatherings, lead the band and vocalists, facilitate and lead weekly rehearsals.
• Champion and provide strategic leadership for holiday-related planning, including major services like Christmas and Easter.
• Lead creative direction and programming for weekends, series, and special events in partnership with the Senior Pastor and Executive Director.
• Cultivate a culture of worship that extends beyond Sunday and into everyday life.
Creative Development:
• Lead strategic planning for all creative elements relating to weekend gatherings and other creative initiatives.
• Ensure timely development of creative assets such as graphics packages, bumpers, and other related elements.
• Lead creative process, including brainstorming meetings, sermon series planning documents, sermon and creative calendars, and other creative planning needs.
• Oversee systems and workflows for efficient, high-quality video production and post-production.
Team Leadership & Development:
• Lead, develop, and care for Creative Arts staff and key volunteer leaders.
• Identify, train, and empower new leaders with a multiplication mindset, sharing leadership with qualified individuals.
• Ensure all elements needed for the service are shared with team members in a timely manner.
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and development of volunteers across all Creative Arts teams.
• Maintain effective scheduling, rehearsal structures, and team communication.
Strategic Collaboration:
• Partner with the Senior Pastor and Executive Director to execute ministry vision.
• Collaborate with other ministries to identify and develop future worship leaders.
• Coordinate with the Communications staff for unified messaging across all platforms.
• Work with the Business Director to steward the Creative Arts budget with wisdom and strategic alignment.
Personal Development:
• Maintain a vibrant personal walk with the Lord rooted in Scripture and prayer.
• Pursue ongoing growth in biblical depth, leadership, and creative craft.
Qualifications:
• Godly character consistent with the qualifications for church leadership in 1 Timothy 3.
• Demonstrated pastoral leadership experience and gifts.
• Demonstrated experience leading worship in a larger or growing church context.
• Proven ability to lead and develop teams in a staff environment.
• Strong musical leadership, vocal ability, and working knowledge of music theory across multiple worship styles.
• Familiarity with modern worship technology and production tools, as well as ancient-future worship elements.
• Creative thinker with the ability to execute with clarity and excellence.

Elementary Coordinator

In this role, you’ll be the engine behind our elementary programming—bringing weekend and midweek experiences to life with excellence and energy. From organizing the details that make everything run smoothly, to recruiting and inspiring an incredible volunteer team, you’ll play a key part in creating meaningful moments for kids every single week. You’ll also take the lead on preparing and managing curriculum, ensuring every lesson is both impactful and fun.
We’re looking for someone who thrives in leadership, loves staying organized, and doesn’t miss the small details. If you’re a self-starter who enjoys building teams, creating structure, and making things happen, this could be a perfect fit.

Essential Job Functions: (Including but not limited to)
Manage all details for weekend and midweek programming in the elementary environment
Recruit, develop, and lead elementary volunteer team
Obtain and manage curriculum preparation for the elementary environment
Coordinate with the Children’s Ministry Director and staff on yearly calendar planning
Participate in all events related to the mission, vision and values of Pathways Kids
Write and edit email communication to families regarding events, registrations and changes in schedule and programming
Attend monthly evening team meetings
Perform data entry pertaining to elementary volunteer scheduling and family updates
Engage in stage team teaching in elementary environment
Plan and implement technical programming for elementary environment
Lead team huddles
Qualifications, Training and Experience:
Spiritual maturity and commitment to a life of integrity informed by the Bible
Strong communication, administrative, and leadership skills
Detail-oriented
Working knowledge of MS Office
Entry level desktop publishing knowledge
Ability to prioritize and multi-task, using good time management skills
Experience with elementary age preferred
