What is a disciple?
A disciple is someone who knows and follows Jesus in order to become like Him
Why is discipleship important?
Discipleship is important because we to lead people into a growing relationship with Jesus. Discipleship helps other believers to grow in their faith, to grow in maturity and wisdom, and build their faith on a strong foundation so that they can then disciple and lead others towards Christ. It is also what we are called to do as believers.
How to disciple?

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28: 19-20
