What is Pathways Kids?

Every Sunday all children (babies through 5th grade) experience safe, age-appropriate environments where the Bible is taught in a creative and relevant way. Everything your child will experience centers around Three Basic Truths:

  • I Need To Make The Wise Choice
  • I Can Trust God No Matter What
  • I Should Treat Others The Way I Want To Be Treated

  • God Loves Me
  • God Made Me
  • Jesus Wants To Be My Friend Forever

We would love to see you and your family visit Pathways Kids this Sunday. Join the fun and experience a world where kids meet Jesus on their level!

Your First Visit

Look for the area designated for first-time families. We will meet your family, check your child into our database system, and one of our volunteers will lead your child to their age-appropriate room.

We will ask for the following personal information: family members' names, children’s names and birthdates, address, phone number, and any special instructions (allergies, special needs) for your child.

How Check-in Works

You may check in your child at any available station. After finding your child’s name in the database, you and your child will be given matching identification tags that are exclusive to your family and your visit. Your child will need to wear the name tag portion while you keep the matching tag. After the service, you will need to show your matching security tag in order for your child to be released back to you.

In the event that we need to contact you during the service, your 3 digit alphanumeric identification code will appear on the screen in the auditorium. We ask that you exit the auditorium immediately and look for a staff member or volunteer who will direct you to your child’s room.

The Ride Home

On your way home, be sure to ask your child questions like, "Did you have fun?" and "What did you learn today?" It's our goal that every child has a positive answer to these two questions, every week!

Special Environments

Family Room

If you prefer to keep your children with you during service, we offer a Family Area in Room 204 where you can watch the service from a closed circuit TV and let your kids play.  Thank you for your sensitivity to those in the auditorium who wish to experience the service in a distraction-free environment.

Nursing Mom’s Room

We also offer a Nursing Mom’s Room with gliders, a changing table, and privacy. This room can be accessed through the Family Area.

What We Value

The Bible is the most amazing book ever written! We strive to bring its stories to life through activities and discussions that keep children engaged. We want all children to love God’s word and understand the value of applying it to their lives.

We value children’s relationships within the small group setting as they relate to their leader and other kids in the group. As families commit to attending the same service each week, children are placed in a group of familiar faces where relationships can grow.

Our environments and lesson materials are created in a way your child will understand.

Every child’s name tag is matched to a parent-identification number, every volunteer is screened with an interview and federal background check, and every hallway is monitored by security personnel.

Kids love fun! We realize that when children have fun at church, they can’t wait to come back. We value creating fun ways for children to learn about Jesus, including games, activities, and singing.

Start Here

As a parent, firsts are a BIG DEAL. First steps, first days of school, first ballgames. But what about when kids have their first questions about faith?

Start Here is an event for parents and their children, Grades K-5, that will help begin a conversation about what it means to follow Jesus. Sign up below to be part of the next event designed to help you begin the conversation with your child.

Don’t miss this opportunity to learn how you can help your child take their first step into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.

Parent Cue App

As a parent, some of the most important things you do for your child don’t happen in a single day. You make small deposits in their life week after week over time. That’s why the Parent Cue App gives weekly cues to help you make the most of the time you spend with your kid.

These weekly cues will change with your child, staying relevant to their phase of life, from babies to high school. Each cue aligns with your child’s Pathways Kids Experience. We believe the best way to use this app is to be in a faith community so there are multiple voices in your kid’s life reinforcing the same ideas. Our app will connect you with Bible stories and verses to talk to your child about, and will cue you with words to say and things to do connected with the naturally occurring times that already happen every day.

Access lots of resources for each phase of your child’s life at the Parent Cue website.

Serving Opportunity

When Jesus said the harvest is plentiful, he wasn't joking. There are over 18,000 kids under the age of 18 in the City of Appleton. That's a lot of kids who need to know they are loved, accepted and valued. They need to hear the gospel. They need you!

That can seem overwhelming, but WE CAN DO MORE TOGETHER! We can reach hundreds and even thousands of those kids this fall with your help. No matter your gifts or talents, there is a place for you on the team.

There is no prior experience needed (we will fully train you) and it's not a lifetime commitment. If you would like more information, simply let us know below.
