High School Students

Our mid-week gathering is designed to reach high school students at their current stage in life. High school students are at a much different place in life than a sixth grader, which is why we provide two unique experiences for middle school and high school students that happen at the same time and at the same location. Every mid-week gathering begins with a time of worship where both middle school and high school students are together. We then split the group for more age appropriate activities. The high school teaching time challenges students and allows them to dig deeper into their faith. The message is applicable to their daily life. They also break into small groups by grade to discuss the message and hang out.

In our High School ministry, we seek to grow a strong, gospel-centered foundation in our students through learning the Word of God and experiencing Biblical community in small groups. Our small groups are divided by grade so students can connect with others their age. During this time, groups will play games, get to know each other, discuss the message, and spend time praying together. Guys and girls are together in a group, but discuss topics separately when necessary. Our hope is to partner with parents in helping students grow with each other, their leaders, and most importantly God.

We believe going on mission is an important experience for young Christ followers. When students are exposed to different cultures, parts of the world, and people in need their faith becomes real to them. Students are challenged to share their faith and figure out what they truly believe on these trips. High school students have a few different opportunities, both domestic and international, with varying levels of difficulty. Our teams meet regularly to be trained and equipped for the trip they will go on. These trips are a great way to teach young students the importance of serving!

2018 High School Missions Trips

This trip is in partnership with missionaries Bob and Chrissy Godwin, who have served in Estonia since 2015. They are currently preparing, strategizing, and developing a team to plant a church in west Tallinn (the capital city of Estonia) in the coming year. Our team will be helping them with outreach in the communities in west Tallinn, including a day camp/sports camp for school age kids, working in a local orphanage, English clubs, and a music cafe. Our purpose is to help by serving the local church plant team in reaching their community. Students on this trip will get to visit Helsinki, Finland on their fun day. YWAM (Youth With A Mission) Nicaragua will be our host for this outreach. They have been working among the youth and the poor in Nicaragua for many years, including running a Christian school for children in an especially poor barrio (neighborhood). Much of our work will be in a very poor barrio called “Barrio Berlin.” Pathways Students partnered with this YWAM base in 2017 and it was an incredible trip. Our ministry in Nicaragua will include: work in poor barrios, Bible distribution, praying for people we meet as we walk through the barrio, children's ministry (drama, puppets, music, sports) and evangelism. Students on this trip will get to visit a volcano and go zip lining through the jungle on their fun day.  Find out more information here.

This trip is in partnership with YWAM (Youth With A Mission) missionaries in the capitol city of Dar Es Salam, Tanzania. Ministry in Tanzania will include: children's ministry in churches and schools (dramas, music, sports, games), evangelism, teaching,  giving testimonies in churches, and building projects (possibly helping to build a school classroom). Students on this trip will get to experience an African safari on their fun day.   Find more information here.

It is our goal to partner with parents as we lead students into a growing relationship with God. Parents are the primary spiritual leaders in a student's life and we want to help you fulfill that mission.
